Research Project
Fall 2024
"Exploring Impact of Different Incentive Types on the Follow-through of Sustainability Initiatives by Major Fresh-Produce Firms
Department Informations
Department: Food and Resource Economics (CALS)
Mentor: Dr. Jennifer Clark, tspartin@ufl.edu
Project Background
The project will be focused on how different financial incentives (positive or negative) motivate the top thirty fresh produce firms to follow through on their proposed sustainability initiatives posted on their websites through data-text mining of their websites versus publications or lawsuits set against their production practices.
I will analyze resource material provided on their websites, news publications, tax publications, and commercials to determine what incentive was imposed and how that impacted production practice.
